EBD Supports the Mexico D.F. Government’s SME Program

EBD offers software integration and development companies special prices for its development license plus a training course in Mexico City

EBD, the pioneering propietary-software provider for web applications development, has taken part in the event "Growing SMEs, Federal District" with the aim of supporting Mexico City's economic reactivation. The event, organized by the Secretary for the Economic Development (SEDECO) of the Government of the Federal District to offer Micro, Small and Medium-sized Businesses in the Mexican capital financing, business incubation, training, marketing and technological innovation options. This event took place from July 30 to August 1 in the EXPO-Reforma building.

Inaugurated by Lic. Marcelo Ebrard himself (Chief of the Federal District Government) and Laura Velazquez (Economic Development Minister) with over 200 stands and the participation of more than 16000 small and medium-sized business leaders "Growing SMEs" proved to be an excellent venue for professionals to meet. Suppliers and buyers from various related sectors gathered to offer or receive counseling while establishing personal contacts and commercial relations. EBD was invited to be a guest by Ing. Zeky Murra, Director of Economic Instrument of SEDECO. EBD's participation, with its goal of promoting business growth and development in the countries in which it operates, provided at its stand full information on its solutions for the creation and management of web sites and applications, offering major discounts on its software licenses as well as training courses in Mexico City.

"In times of economic adversity like these, the Government of the Federal District has started up an important plan to boost the State's economy and labor market by supporting and promoting the innovative spirit in the capital's micro-business community", states Ing. Luis Rodríguez, EBD's LATAM Business Development Director. "At EBD we also wanted to make our small contribution, together with the Government, by not only facilitating the acquisition and implementation of our software, but also by offering counseling to those companies that need it. This is why this event, which has become a link between authorities, entrepreneurs and financial institutions, seemed to us especially interesting as a way of approaching software integration and development companies that, otherwise, would not have been able to learn about the benefits of our solutions", adds Rodríguez.

EBD, within its business development support policy, has also developed initiatives in Spain, where the corporate headquarters are, by collaborating with various associations such as AETIC (www.aetic.es), Secartys (www.secartys.org) or PIMEC (web.pimec.org).
