Banesto Foundation has won the Fundetec 2009 award to the "Best project of a Non-profit organization addressed to SMEs, micro-enterprises and self-employed workers" for its EmprendedoresTv (EntrepeneurTV) project, a WebTV channel showing business stories of more than 500 Spanish and international entrepreneurs and businessmen that tell in first person their experiences from the their businesses start-up until their consolidation.
WebTV, developed under the EBD platform, counts with different channels: Innovatory channel, shows cases with high components of R&D, Exporters Channel, showing the increasing development of Spanish companies on the international market; and Women Initiative Channel, reflecting the undisputable and thriving presence of women on the national corporate sector.
EBD technology combines the best from the Internet with Television, providing users a series of technological innovations that allow greater flexibility and customization of the product as well as detecting the user’s interests and showing them videos that are related to the content previously selected.
The ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and Microsoft cooperate with emprendedorestv.com, which can also be visualized through iPhone 3G, Youtube Premium/Emprendedorestv, Facebook, Twitter and Eleconomista.es.
Francesc Fajula, manager of the Banesto Foundation, received the award from José Pérez, director-general of ASIMELEC. During his speech, Fajula emphasized that the channel has exceeded three million viewed videos, and announced that the organization will donate the awards economic resources to the Balia foundation.
