Presentation of the Barcelona 2010 European Athletics Championship's website

The platform eBD, e-business designer, has developed www.bcn2010.org

The website of the Barcelona 2010 European Athletics Championship has been officially presented today at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium. Pere Alcober, Sports Delegate of the City Hall of Barcelona, Vicente Añó, General Coordinator of the Championship Organizational Committee, and Raul Martín, President of EBD Soft, presented www.bcn2010.org, the new communication tool that will explain the development of the organization of the event. The platform EBD, created by EBD Soft, has developed the website.

The website is a key tool to promote the Championship. It gathers all information necessary to understand the complexity of the organization of such an event, the history of European Athletics Championships, and it will help to get to know the city of Barcelona. The website will grow accordingly with the Organizational Committee and will be the tool to provide accreditations to the Championship and inscriptions to volunteers.

The platform EBD has worked in 2 different levels to assure the gradual development and growth of www.bcn2010.org. From one side, thinking about the interaction with the website visitors, and from the other, creating a Content Management System (CMS) that allows the Organizational Committee to maintain and update the website in a quick, visual and very easy way, without computer programming knowledge. The CMS of EBD has been designed to allow www.bcn2010.org grow structurally, creating new sections and integrating new applications, updating data in real time.
