Publimetro Mexico launches its video portal with EBD

Publimetro incorporates the multimedia content distribution through the solution of EBD Online Video that also facilitates the monetization of such content through advertising campaigns.

Publimetro is a newspaper distributed in Latin America in Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Peru, of free distribution belonging to the Swedish holding based in Luxembourg, called Metro International.

Every morning, in over 100 major cities around the world, millions of metropolitan industrial take to the streets, buses and trams on its way to work. They are young and with healthy appetite of news.

Metro has been the preferred source of morning news for metropolitans since its release in 1995; and still is free. Currently, Metro has 55 editions in 19 countries. Additionally, the newspaper can be viewed on their websites.

Since 2007, Publimetro released its contents under license of Creative Commons, becoming in the first newspaper in Latin America to do it. Through this license, the users can freely distribute the newspaper contents (articles, photos and videos) on their blogs or personal websites.

Now, Metro Mexico launches www.publimetro.tv, a new video portal, organized by areas (news, information, currently, topics of conversation, real time, events, media, reality, society, economy, sports, finance, life houses, horoscopes, celebrity, music, movies, blogs).

The portal incorporates the EBD player that thanks to its web 2.0 functions, facilitates that the users can share, comment and rate all the videos of the portal.
