Xarxa Audiovisual Local launches its new xip/tv on distribution through audiovisual IP contents on demand

EBD Web Video Player is the online video platform providing easy management, publication and distribution of xip/tv contents.

Xarxa Audiovisual Local (XAL) has released its new distribution platform through IP audiovisual contents under demand, xip/tv, for local televisions adhered to its web. The application allows creating WEB TV channels for each of the local televisions and provides the possibility that each one can manage its own channel, promoting XAL contents as well as those of the televisions themselves.

EBD, pioneering proprietary-software provider for web applications development, has been entrusted to implement its platform EBD Web Video Player for online multi-channel and multi-device video publication through xip/tv. Specifically, this solution provides a whole range of characteristics and functionalities enabling to manage and make profitable video contents and online advertising. Also, thanks to EBD technology, xip/tv relies on the following functionalities for an optimum portal management:
 

• Management and organization of contents on channels: With EBD Web Video Player, users of this new application may post videos, create programs, channels and ads; plus manage television channels that make up the local WebTV network, special interest channels and mosaic channels.
• Advertising management:The Advertising manager enables creating, deleting or modifying data from advertisers, creativities, campaigns and banners.
• Statistics display: The user may visualize through a search engine videos and advertisements statistics published on the XAL environment and local WebTV channels. Therefore, they may obtain information about the most viewed videos, as well as advertising items from the same advertiser.
• Adhesion to social networks:The user may include links for spectators' access on social networks, commenting and rating videos that may be visualized on the Web Channel Home page.

The first two local channels that are already operating are Canal Blau-Maricel TV, from the Garraf region, and TAC-12, the public channel from the Tarragonès region, Alt Camp and la Conça de Barberà. With this new platform, local televisions have the same opportunity as regular TV channels, which have already started to broadcast their contents through the internet.
