Transhotel
The Transhotel Reservation Center was created in 1994 by parent company, Transhotel Group, to facilitate the hotel reservation process for travel agencies around the world.
Today, the Group consists of five companies exclusively in the Tourism Industry, with more than 500 professionals dedicated to guaranteeing better service and offering the latest in technological solutions available today.

The Transhotel Group needed a powerful tool for communication, management, and sales; it needed to be useful, fast, structured and flexible for use by its staff, clients, and suppliers.
eBD had to provide the Transhotel Group with a flexible and scalable development environment, with growth possibilities but without a requirement for in-depth technical knowledge in order to successfully manage information.
The internal information systems needed to be re-organized and simplified; moreover, a user-friendly interface was imperative. But the end goal was to create and manage a marketplace for its product and service offerings for clients in a particular sector.
The solution had to be easy to implement, based on standards, secure and compatible will all the different platforms available in the market.

Solution
- A group Intranet for all Transhotel Group employees so that they can assign tasks according to some company hierarchy, receive email or SMS messages, contact each other, share documents, consult the latest announcements , etc. And all this can be done with maximum security, and with access control with corporate, department or individual privileges.
- An extranet for agencies so that they can check for and print out daily offers, look up related travel news, and find contact information for any department of any other member agency.
- A Portal for Purchasing so customers can place orders with different online suppliers online, determine payment terms, conditions and contracts.
- A communication tool for automatically sending daily offers made by Transhotel, Hotel Plus and Transvacaciones, with the ability to filter by country, agency and group.

Once again, eBD proves that it is the best publication, development, and integration tool for internet, extranet, or intranet web applications.
In the case of Transhotel, eBD was used to develop solutions for different Web environments: a B2B portal, an intranet, a content manager for shopping carts and e-catalogs, and a flexible and fast communication tool - all usable by non-technical users and all scalable.
