D-Link, a leader in network solutions and device, is dedicated to offering the best solutions for broadband, VoIP (Voice over IP), domestic digital networks, and local wireless & traditional networks for SOHOs, workgroups and companies.
D-Link's objective was to build a Web portal to serve as an entry point to an expert channel where D-link partners can find company information.
The portal is totally dynamic and easy to administer -- no in deep knowledge of computer science is necessary.
Solution
The proposed solution involved developing three separate applications which took only two weeks to implement using our eBD platform. The three applications were:
1) A Corporate Portal
Customers could directly purchase products through this portal. Users could also register and opt to receive the latest D-Llink news, product information and offerings over email.
2) An Intranet
eBD provided the means to add or modify Web content, change colors, alter formatting, and create pages without writing a single line of code in any programming language.
3) Experts Channel
Henceforth, all D-Link Partners can easily download all the information they need -- e.g. publicity materials, documents, etc. A task tracking system was available for DLink experts servicing Partner requests that allowed for the creation, modification, assignment and tracking of outstanding and pending tasks.
Results
Within a period of a year, DLink succeeded in assembling more than 500 partners, and DLink now communicates and coordinates with all of them through DLink Update, its monthly bulletins, distributed using its portal.
