Presentation of the Barcelona 2010 European Athletics Championship's website
The platform eBD, e-business designer, has developed www.bcn2010.org
Barcelona, April 24th 2008.- The website of the Barcelona 2010 European Athletics Championship has been officially presented today at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium. Pere Alcober, Sports Delegate of the City Hall of Barcelona, Vicente Añó, General Coordinator of the Championship Organizational Committee, and Raul Martín, President of Oasyssoft, presented www.bcn2010.org, the new communication tool that will explain the development of the organization of the event. The platform eBD, created by Oasyssoft, has developed the website.
The website is a key tool to promote the Championship. It gathers all information necessary to understand the complexity of the organization of such an event, the history of European Athletics Championships, and it will help to get to know the city of Barcelona. The website will grow accordingly with the Organizational Committee and will be the tool to provide accreditations to the Championship and inscriptions to volunteers.
The platform eBD has worked in 2 different levels to assure the gradual development and growth of www.bcn2010.org. From one side, thinking about the interaction with the website visitors, and from the other, creating a Content Management System (CMS) that allows the Organizational Committee to maintain and update the website in a quick, visual and very easy way, without computer programming knowledge. The CMS of eBD has been designed to allow www.bcn2010.org grow structurally, creating new sections and integrating new applications, updating data in real time.

What is eBD?
Most sectors design and produce their products thinking about their clients and consumers. On contrary, in the computer software world, computer engineers develop their software thinking about the technology behind it but not the user that will be in front of the final product.
eBD has found a market opportunity in this anomaly, creating a platform that develops, in a visual and intuitive way for the user, any type of Web application (Web page sites, CRM, e-commerce for B2C and B2B, Web 2.0, Web TV, etc)
In addition, eBD can integrate any other application that was already installed in the system (Databases, HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, Java, JavaScript, .NET, Flash, SSL, etc.), without duplicating data.
As a result, one can publish contents in real time through a web interface.
What is Oasyssoft?
Oasyssoft is a company founded in Barcelona in 1997 by a group of students from UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya) with the aim to create a software that would integrate any kind of Web application.
At this time, Oasyssoft?s shareholders are the Executive Managers of the company and Debaeque, a private equity firm specialized in investing in companies that offer a global product and are located in the South of Europe.
Oasyssoft is growing in the USA, SOUTH AMERICA, EUROPE and ASIA. Today, the company has offices in Barcelona, Miami, Mexico City, Madrid and Valencia.
