The First eBD workshop in Valencia - a Great Success
To celebrate the opening of a new office in Valencia, Oasys Soft invited local companies and organizations to
come get to know eBD, a development tool for web applications.
Vicente Rubert, Oasys Soft Regional Director for Levante, kicked off the event, which was attended by more than 60 people.
Raül Martín, CEO of Oasys Soft, gave a live demo by showing some sample eBD solutions developed for
Turismo de Barcelona, e-receta or e-Bunker. Through these examples, he showed how Turismo de Barcelona,
for example, came up with the initial outline for the website; how this idea evolved to include
its internal work processes at the suggestion of Oasys Soft; and how, thanks to this redesign, which
included e-commerce capability, sales for tickets for the Tourist Bus have increased by 30%.
Jaume Roqué, Director of Districte Digital, presented ClicPortal, a tool
created using eBD for the express purpose of generating web portals for municipality
administrations and organizations. ClicPortal is a generator of dynamic web
portals, used by the majority of the Town Councils in the Municipality of Barcelona.
Maria Serrano, Director of Internet Projects for the Council of San Cugat, one of these Town Councils,
explained how they worked with Oasys Soft to define the web project to make it as communicative
and as transparent as possible, so that it could be a resource citizens could rely on and trust
for any and all of the latest information about the city. Because of the flexibility
of eBD, Sant Cugat has been able to create different portal versions tailored to
various demographics of the population, such as www.joves.santcugat.cat (for youth),
www.infants.santcugat.cat(about infants), www.gentgran.santcugat.cat(for the elderly) and
www.teatre-auditori.santcugat.cat(for theater-goers).
